One of the topics we have been working on intensively over the last year is the landscape setting of bog bodies. Bog bodies are among the most spectacular archaeological finds. Because of their excellent preservation, thanks to the waterlogged conditions in bogs, much scientific work has focused on forensics (eg. pathology).  Less attention has been given to the world these people lived in. We have made a reconstruction of the landscape around the site of Yde, where a 15 or 16 year old girl was deposited about 2000 years ago. The resulting paper has recently been accepted for publication in the journal The Holocene!
